I am no longer getting the not responding. My excel is working fine. But this is what I am getting for my Microsoft word now. I have tried creating and saving word documents on local and my external drive still getting the same pop up.

Once the ablove alert comes up I click ok and the file will open. This one only comes up every few times I click on the file to word which Doesn’t make sense, as I am the Administer of the computer. Hi John and Susie, This is strange because running in safe mode is not supposed to change anything when you run not in safe mode. An additional step would be to run a scan to find and repair files. To do that, you would bring up a command prompt window in administrator mode. In Cortana type Command. You will see Command Prompt.

Right-click on that and run as Administrator. Then press the Enter key. I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions or require further help.

Andre for Directly Independent Advisor. Which Antivirus utility do you have installed? Have you tried disabling it temporarily to see if they launch without issue?
